We use a Candela Gentlelase alexandrite laser. This passes a ray of light over the skin to heat the hair follicle at the root, thus eliminating the blood supply to the hair. The laser specifically targets pigment in the hair, so dark hair responds the best. Every hair follicle that responds is permanently removed and will not grow back. Because only actively growing hair follicles respond, multiple treatments will be needed. We usually recommend at least six treatments for satisfactory results.

What are the Results?

With laser hair removal you can expect significant permanent hair reduction to the point where temporary hair removal methods are seldom, if ever necessary. However due to normal hormonal changes, genetics, hair color, and skin tone, some clients may need a few additional treatments in order to achieve their personal level of desired results.

After Treatment Care

There will be redness and bumps at the treatment area, which may last up to two hours or a little longer.

Its normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours. You can use a cold compress if needed.

If any scabbing occurs, apply antibiotic cream. You could also use Aloe vera gel or some great quality after sunburn cream.

Keep in mind darker pigmented people may have more discomfort.

Exfoliate the treated area with a sugar scrub 3 days after treatment.

Makeup may be used after treatment unless there is blistering. make sure you have moisturizer on under your makeup that will help with this process as well. Any moisturizer without alpha-hydroxyl acids will work.

Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of light and dark spots for two months. Use a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher at all times throughout the months following.

DO NOT USE ANY OTHER HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENTS WHILE LASERING!!!

AVOID PICKING OR SCRATCHING THE TREATED AREAS!!

The treated area may be washed gently with mild soap. Skin should be patted dry NOT rubbed.  You may apply deodorant after 24 hours.
